1. ¿How much does it cost the inscription?
    The price is specified in the section Inscription.
  2. I have done the payment but I do not appear as enrolled, ¿how long I have to wait?
    Once the payment is done you have to wait 24 to 48 hours before you see your inscription on the web. After this time if you are still as non-enrolled or do not appear on the list, please send an email to info@granfondotarragona.com
  3. ¿Do I have to send the federative card to do the inscription?
    Yes. You will have to send the cycling federative card to info@granfondotarragona.com or bring it when picking up the race bib.
  4. ¿ Do I have to be federated to participate in Gran Fondo Tarragona?
    No. At the time of doing the inscription, you must indicate that you are not federated in order that the organization gives you a day-insurance.
  5. I have to change some data of my inscription, ¿how can i do it? ¿does it have any surcharge?
    To change any inscription data you have to send an email to info@granfondotarragona.com and the paperwork will have a surcharge of 3€. If it is a change of distance race in addition the participant will have to pay the price difference between both.
  6. ¿How are the Gran Fondo Tarragona maillots?
    The maillots have a high quality, are tight and with sizes differentiated by sex.
  7. I have chosen a wrong size of t-shirt, ¿can I changed it?
    Yes. Send an email to info@granfondotarragona.com. Changes will not be allowed after 20/09/2015.
  8. I want to change the race distance ¿what do I have to do? ¿do I have to pay any surcharge?
    Until 20/09/2015 race distance changes are allowed. To do it send an email to info@granfondotarragona.com . The cyclist will have to pay a surcharge of 3€ and in addition the price difference between both, if necessary.
  9. I am not 18 years old yet, ¿can I do any distance?
    Participants under 18 years old can participate in the 107km distance only. The federative regulation does not allow participants under 18 years old to take part in races over 2000 meters of hm and 130km.
  10. ¿It is compulsory to have a medical certificate?
    The organization do not specifically ask for a medical certificate but recommends the participants to do a medical test at least once a year.
  11. ¿Until when and where can I collect my number?
    The race numbers can be collected at the day and place determined by the organization in the Agenda section.
  12. ¿Can someone authorized by me collect my dorsal?
    Yes, it is compulsory to bring a photocopy of the ID of the participant and, if federated, a photocopy of the federative card.
  13. In case of rain or bad weather, ¿the event will be cancelled?
    The race will be canceled only for bad weather if the Meteorological Catalonia Service announces a “Dangerous Meteorological Situation” with a grade of danger high or extreme. In any other case of pre alert the organization reserves the right of suspend it if necessary. More information in

  15. I cannot participate in the race ¿how can I cancel my inscription? ¿do you return the inscription amount?
    To cancel the inscription you have to send an email indicating the reason and attaching a certificate. As its indicated in the Policy of changes, cancellations and returns if the runner informs the organization before September 6th 2015, 50% of the total amount will be returned; afterwards the organization do not return the money under any circumstance.
  16. I cannot participate in the race, ¿can I give up my inscription?
    No. It is non-transferable and it’s indicated in the Terms and Conditions that all runners accept when formalizing the inscription.
  17. I cannot participate in the race and I want to keep my inscription for the next year.
    As it’s indicated in the Policy of changes, cancellations and returns, if you cannot participate, the inscription will not be kept for future editions.
  18. I am injured and I have a doctor’s note, ¿do you return the inscription amount?
    As its indicated in the Policy of changes, cancellations and returns if the runner informs the organization before September 6th 2015, 50% of the total amount will be returned; afterwards the organization do not return the money under any circumstance. The organization could evaluate certain cases that can be considered as an exception.
  19. If I have paid but finally I cannot participate, ¿can I pick up my runner bag?
    Yes, you can pick it up the previous day of the race if your inscription is not cancelled. In any case will be sent.
  20. ¿There will be locker rooms or showers?
    Yes and will be signalized.
  21. ¿Where can I leave my personal objects?
    We will habilitate a checkroom.
  22. ¿Where can I see the latest news of the race?
    You can follow us through our social networks and once done the registration you will receive a Newsletter with the most important information.
  23. ¿Where can I park?
    There will be prepared areas located near the starting/arrival line area.
  24. If I have any doubts or I have a problem the same day of the race, ¿where should I ask?
    The organization will have a Runner’s Attention Office (OAC) located at the starting line area.
  25. The Gran Fondo Tarragona is a competitive event?
    It is not a competitive event, but there will be two timing controls. From this timings the organization will do a classification list.
  26. Will the roads be closed on the day of the event?
    No; traffic will be open, the organization also provide many preventive services to provide the greatest possible freedom of movement to participants. We will have the presence of the Catalan Traffic Service to ensure our safety. The organization reserves the right to close any roads with prior notification to the SCT and participants.
